Our journey started from humble beginnings and has grown into a thriving hospitality family that values every team member as part of our story.
Our journey began long before the businesses—my wife, Jenny Dinh, and I were long time friends since college. In 2008, we began our life together as husband and wife, united by a shared vision and passion for entrepreneurship.
During our college years, we were both working hard toward our future. Jenny worked as a banker at Bank of America, while I worked part-time as a Hibachi chef at Sakura Japanese Steakhouse. Those early experiences shaped our work ethic, discipline, and deep understanding of customer service and restaurant business operations.
I graduated from the University of Maryland with a Computer Engineering degree and worked as a Project Engineering Consultant, while Jenny became a loan officer. However, our passion for entrepreneurship had always been strong.
We opened our very first restaurant, Saigon Quán in Springfield, marking the beginning of our journey in the hospitality industry.
We opened Viet Chopsticks in Leesburg, growing our presence and refining our concept.
We expanded further with another Viet Chopsticks location in Woodbridge.
We proudly launched our Viet Chopsticks in Washington, DC, stepping into a bigger and more competitive market.
It was one of the toughest times in our journey—but we didn’t give up. Our passion, commitment to our team, and belief in our vision kept us moving forward.

Out of that resilience, a new concept was born. We created an Indochine-inspired experience on H Street—bringing guests back to the elegance and charm of the Indochine period in Vietnam.
Today, we continue to grow with purpose. We are building more than restaurants—we are building a brand, a community, and a legacy for future generations.
